Follow these steps to ensure the correct adjustment on your LED headlight. This should be performed after installing any of our LED headlights to ensure you achieve the full performance and proper projection with the beam pattern.
- Check tire pressure. Make sure the front and rear tires are inflated to the factory-recommended pressure.
- Position the motorcycle.
- Park the motorcycle on a level surface in a dimly lit area.
- Position it so the front wheel is 25 feet away from a flat wall, measured from the point where the front tire touches the ground.
- Mark the wall.
- Measure the height from the ground to the center of the headlight.
- On the wall, place a horizontal line at that exact height previously measured.
- Simulate normal riding conditions.
- Have someone approximately the same weight as the primary rider sit on the motorcycle. This allows the suspension to settle as it would during normal riding.
- Prepare the motorcycle.
- Hold the motorcycle upright with both tires on the ground.
- Point the front wheel straight ahead.
- Turn the ignition on and switch the headlight to High Beam.
- Check the headlight alignment.
- Vertical (height) adjustment: The center of the high beam should line up with the horizontal line on the wall.
- Horizontal (left/right) adjustment: The beam should be centered straight ahead, with an equal amount of light on both sides of the centerline.
- Adjust the headlight if necessary until both the vertical and horizontal alignment are correct.
