SI-REMOTE: Simple On/Off Remote (Single Color LEDs)
Confirm that the batteries in your key fobs are good and do not need to be replaced.
If you find your batteries are weak and in need of changing, please replace the (1) CR27A battery.
If you have confirmed the batteries in your key fobs are good but your accent lights still do not turn on or perform any function with your key fob, perform a key fob re-sync.
SI-Remote Key Fob Re-Sync
It is important to follow the instructions below exactly to ensure that you do not short any of the components or damage to the board.
1. You will need BOTH Key fobs. They will both need to be synced one right after the other.
2. Turn the module over and remove the 4 screws that hold the housing together. Keep the screws in a safe place as they are very small and can get lost easily.
3. Refer to the photo below. The small black button is to be pressed for synchronizing the key fobs.
4. Refer to the photo above. The LED beside the button is the Sync status LED. When this button is pressed, the red LED will light once.
5. Make sure that the remote module has power, then press the black button.
6. If Step 5 was performed properly, the red LED will light up once and go out.
7. Once the red LED turns off, take one keyfobs and press the ON button (left), if the key fob is sending a good signal, the red light on the circuit board will flash once.
Note: if the Red light on the circuit board will not turn on when the key fob button is pushed, check the battery inside the keyfob. An indicator light on the key fob does not always mean it is sending a signal. If the light on the fob is dim or if it is flickering, then chances are the battery is weak and in need of replacing.
8. Once the Red LED light on the circuit board flashes on and off, then repeat steps 5-7 with the second key fob
Note: This procedure may need to be performed more than once if the sync procedure does not take the first time.
Note: If the Red LED light on the circuit board will not come on when the black button is pressed, confirm power to the Module. If there is power to the Module, it is possible that the module may be defective and needs to be inspected by a CD technician.
Note: If the Red LED light on the circuit board does not come on with the fobs during the sync process, and the batteries in the key fobs have been verified as good, then there could be an issue with the Keyfob and should be inspected by a CD technician.
